It began as an app built
for a handful of clients

In 2018 WorkCo began as a native app on the App Store and Play Store, built for specific clients in Thailand and Taiwan: retail businesses and clinics whose schedules were too complex for off-the-shelf software. Multiple branches, multiple roles, rotating shift patterns.

No two clients worked the same way, so we shaped the system around each one. From scheduling to payroll to reports, each piece was built around how that client actually ran their business.

WHAT 8 YEARS TAUGHT US

Software must bend to the business,
never the other way around

Eight years of building for the hardest rosters showed us every situation a shift business runs into: overlapping shifts, part-timers, rotating days off, branches with different opening hours, and the labor law of two countries.

And the biggest lesson of all: good software bends around how a business works. It never forces the business to change. That principle is in every screen of WorkCo today.

We didn't learn scheduling from a textbook. We learned it from real clients, for eight years.

The best app is the one

The native app had one limit we could not engineer away: staff had to download it, create an account, remember a password, and be shown how to use it. For businesses where staff change often, that wall keeps even the best system from reaching the team.

But everyone in Thailand and Taiwan already has LINE. So we rebuilt WorkCo from the ground up inside it: nothing to download, no accounts, no training. The schedule reaches each person in the chat they already open every day.

Today WorkCo is a full system: scheduling, delivery into LINE, GPS check-in, leave, payroll and reports. Everything we once built separately, client by client, now lives in one system any business can open and use: clinics, hospitals, supermarkets, department stores, retail, restaurants.

More than 50 businesses run on WorkCo every day, the largest managing 30 branches on one system. And the clients who have been with us since the native-app years are now moving to the LINE version themselves.
