What it is
The way Taiwanese shops already collect monthly days off, moved into LINE
Every month, before you build the schedule, you need to know who wants which days off. This tab opens a window in which staff pick next month's days off on their phone, by a deadline you set, and gathers it all into one calendar that shows you where there are enough people.
Anyone with fixed weekly days off is left out: only people without fixed days pick month by month.
Opening a window
Set the dates, set the minimum staffing, tap Send
Tap New leave window. Pick the month (next month by default), set the dates during which staff may pick, enter the minimum number of people working per day (with overrides per weekday or per date), and choose who submits: everyone who picks their own days, or named people.
The window stays a draft until you tap Send. Then every person gets a LINE card, 登記您的休假日 (pick your days off), with a button that opens the picker.
How staff pick
Tap a day, mark it Must or Preferred, saved instantly
The person taps a day on the calendar and marks it 必休 Must, for a day they genuinely need, or 想休 Preferred, if there is room. Every tap saves itself; there is no Submit button. Up to 9 days in total, of which at most 4 may be Must.
What a full day looks like
Minimum working
You set it, say 5 people a day.
The day fills up
When one more day off would leave fewer than 5, that day can no longer be picked.
Too many Musts
The app suggests switching to Preferred, but never blocks a Must.
- Days already on approved leave, or already marked off by you, show in amber and cannot be tapped, so nobody wastes a pick on them.
- Within the last 24 hours before the deadline, anyone who has not finished gets one reminder, and you can nudge individuals from the progress tracker with Remind.
Review and notify
A colour calendar shows short days, tap names to move them, then Notify once
When the deadline passes, the window moves to Review by itself and you get a LINE card. Tap Review to see the whole month; any day below the minimum is marked with how many people are missing. Tap a day to see who is off and who is available, and tap a name to move them across, one at a time.
When it looks right, tap 通知員工 Notify employees. The app writes every day off into the real schedule, then sends each person a confirmation card listing their days.
You can still change things afterwards: move people on the calendar and tap Update. The app then offers to re-send confirmations only to the people whose days changed. Until you do, a warning bar reminds you that staff have not seen the latest change.
Rules worth knowing
Four facts that answer most questions
Worth remembering
Until you tap Notify employees, no day off is on the schedule
What staff pick is only a request. The days are written into the real schedule only when you tap 通知員工 Notify employees, and that is also when each person gets their confirmation card.
- A window that has been sent to staff cannot be deleted or unlocked. To start over, tap Start next round: every current pick is carried into the new round, and the schedule always follows the newest one.
- Only the owner can change the minimum staffing number. A manager with the 劃休 permission can set dates and recipients, but the numbers are read-only for them.
- Six or more days in a row triggers a warning with a suggested swap, but it is never blocked.
- Someone who never picks gets no days off from that window. At Review you can add days for them yourself, one at a time.
